How to Plan Your Estate to Protect Your Assets

On Thursday, October 24 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., well-known elder-law attorney and media commentator Ann Margaret Carrozza will offer a presentation and free individual 15-minute consultations on ways to protect your assets through estate planning. The workshop will be held at Long Island Alzheimer’s Foundation at 5 Channel Drive in Port Washington as part of their Elder Law Open House series. The event will also include a talk by neuropsychologist Dr. Sarah Schaffer of North Shore/LIJ Health System on the changes in memory that come with aging.

Heart-healthy, brain-healthy snacks will be served. Participants will have the opportunity to meet other seniors and families to share experiences, and to learn about Long Island Alzheimer’s Foundation services including adult day programs, cognitive training classes, caregiver support groups, and in-home respite care, as well as brain-fitness workshops for healthy adults. Professionals from allied health and social service vendors will also be on hand to share information about their services to seniors and families.
