Transportation services

Under a New York Department of Transportation grant and partially funded by the Long Island Community Foundation, LIAF has been able to offer its participants transportation services to and from LIAF for programs. LIAF has two 16-passenger, wheelchair accessible mini-buses. Being able to provide our own transportation ensures the safety of your loved ones in the care of our dementia-trained bus drivers. Utilizing LIAF’s transportation also allows for increased time for the caregiver to take care of personal appointments, household duties, food shopping, and more. This service is door-to-door and is available in select areas of Nassau and Queens Counties.

Transportation services are available upon assessment.
